Would the REAL Elvis please
stand up?  Can you tell the fake?

Here's an actual case I was paid to do.
See what YOU think...  Imagine if you will, buying an old
book at a yard sale for a quarter, bringing it home and
discovering an Elvis Presley signature on the inside cover!

Thats exactly what happened to a client of mine.  Before she sold it for her fortune, she wanted to obtain a LOA (Letter of Authentication) so she could get top dollar for her good luck!  And she hired me...

First I had to find a real Elvis signature that was approximately the same time the alledged signature took place.  This sample is one of many "known" signatures I looked at.  The book from the yard sale was published in 1976, I wanted to find one that year or later so I could establish a "benchmark" for my comparison.  Besides many obvious reasons that this is a fake, the main "tip-off" is there is no indication of drug or alcohol use in the signature.  By 1976, even had Elvis been straight when he signed the book, there woud have been SOMETHING indicating a drug use of some kind.  (Can you imagine getting paid for doing something this fun?!)
